We don’t all play sports, but we like to watch others so Sports for Fans is a page just for you. You will find unique things to make your viewing more enjoyable. You will find things you need for the next sports event you will attend, it may be things you never thought of.
What Essentials do You Need for Sports Events
While some things are obvious to some of us, for a newbie to Sports Events they may not be so obvious. There is nothing wrong with that, but there are things you do need to know. Below is a list I have come up with. I learned some of these things from trial and error. Sometimes that is the best way because you will not forget it once you learned the hard way, or you shouldn’t. To find tickets and equipment you need check out this place for great finds.
- You need your Ticket, myself I like to take a physical ticket even if I have it on my electronic devise. You never know when something may go wrong with your devise.
- Some places require a parking pass. Make sure it is where the parking attendent can see it.
- You should always have your ID. For identification, security, alcohol or incase of an emergency.
- You always need money or credit card for food and more. Some places will not take cash so be prepared.
- You will need you phone for your tickets and you may want to take a picture especially if you have children/grand-children playing.
- You ofcourse need to dress for the occasion..comfortable and weather wise. It may be sunny, but you never know when a rain cloud could burst open, so an unbrella or rain jacket will be great at a time like that.
- Just as above you need warm clothing for cold weather, gloves, hats and coat. Some people even place body warmers in their shoes and clothing.
ITEMS FOR YOUR COMFORT:
- I perfer to take my own chair if it is a local game and there is a place for it. But in a big stadium you may want a stadium seat. I had to have on for all the basketball games I attended. My back would hurt if I didn’t have one. A cushion is good, but I liked the back support a stadium offers.
- Take a warm cozy blanket for those breezy fall and winter days and evenings.
- I like to take my own snacks and water if allowed. It can be expensive otherwise for a whole family. You need to check before you go to the event before you go to make sure you have money if needed otherwise.
Dressing The Part and Team Support
- Though not required, it is so much fun to be dressed in you favoriate teams Clothing, hat etc…
- Noise makers, banners and signs just add to the excitement and the Kids love it! I think the team enjoys seeing all the fans support them and makes them strive to win the game even more.
Take Care and Be Safe
- You may be having all the fun in the world but then one of the kids get hurt, sick, a headache and so many other things. Be prepared and you will have a better time. Take the bandaids, headache tablets, stomach antiacids and anything else you may need.
- Don’t for get hand sanitizer, you will want to clean your hands before you eat.
- Some places still require a mask especially during flu season.
Travel To And From The Event
- You will need to have a map or use your phone gps to get you where you are going, allow plenty of time because traffice will or can be thick at a big event. Prepare yourself to not get stressed over slow drivers etc…
- It would be great to arrive early if possible so you can get a good parking spot. An don’t forget the parking pass as mentioned above.
- You need to have all emergency contact handy for others to find if necessary. I would include my automobile information on my bag just for emergnecy reasons. If you have small children, please keep them safe..Put some form of identification on them in case they get lost. You could pen it inside their clothing somewhere where emergency personnal would find it.
Ok I know this is quite lengthy, but for sports for the fans, it is really important to be prepared. Your goal is to have a really good time and preparation is key. Remember spending time with the family and friends is fun and important for all relationships and we don’t want anything like forgetting something to ruin the trip. Being outdoors and getting away from home and away from all electronice device is so good for us all.
Sports In Your Own Backyard
Maybe you cannot travel or go to an event, but you can have fun and enjoyment right at home in your own backyard. Sports for the fan can be in your own home town with your own kids. The kids will love it! Invite friends over and make us some teams and play a game of ball right there in your yard. Have a great cookout and a nice campfire as the evening sun goes down. I know just about everthing you do can be expensive even the cooking out. I have found a great resource to help you save, look here to learn more.
